Site work and new construction of a multi-residential development in Burnaby, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 96,000-square-foot, six-story above grade multi-residential development; and for site work for a multi-residential development.

The project as contemplated consists of a six-storey wood frame, combustible construction building totaling roughly 96,000 sqft. atop a slab on grade with presumed conventional spread footings. The project provides 126 one-bedroom rental units and one caretaker suite. Functional space will be provided at grade in addition to BC Housing tenant and staff programming space (office space, amenity spaces including a multi purpose room with kitchen, common laundry facilities, scooter storage, and a ground level courtyard with patio space and community garden. The Prime Consultant to take the project forward from Design Development (Development Permit) through the remainder of design and construction is Perkins Eastman Architecture. The successful proponent will coordinate with Perkins Eastman as expected between the prime contractor and prime consultant in service of the Client (BC Housing). Demolition of 6047 Pandora Street (highlighted in purple above) will be required before the commencement of construction. The project is targeting a demolition start date in spring 2027, with construction of the new Phase 1 building to start in fall 2027. The rezoning submission package (supplied by a former Prime Consultant who will not advance drawings past rezoning) has been included for review. Please note the civil key plan which highlights utilities in proximity to the master plan site and may require specific coordination of information and or documents required for construction/permitting approvals. Of note are utilities owned and operated by BC Hydro, City of Burnaby, Metro Vancouver, Pembina Kinder Morgan, etc.
