Rehabilitation of 75 manholes including repair of brick and mortar, addressing hydrogen sulfide corrosion, infiltration, erosion, and ground settlement issues across varying depths up to 15 feet. Manholes The construction materials vary, but are generally brick and mortar, precast concrete, and cast-in-place concrete. The condition of the manholes varies but are typically in low pH environments. Depths range from a few feet to just under 15 feet. This project includes 75 manholes at approximately 555.57 vertical feet. Manholes may be experiencing some or all of the following issues: Loss of bricks and mortar Hydrogen sulfide corrosion and subsequent concrete reactions Damage from freeze/thaw cycles Inflow and infiltration Erosion Ground settlement or shifting Sanitary Sewer Lift Station Wet Well The 2026 project also includes the coating of the wet well next to the newer lift station located near 2580 E. 8th. A new lift station was installed in 2025. The old lift station wet well became a receiving wet well for the new lift station. The top of the lift station was removed, and new sections of manhole were installed to a depth of 8' . The entire wet well has a depth of 21.5' and circumference of 6' . It is expected that the coating of the wet well will require an epoxy type or equal coating to address inflow and infiltration.
