Site work and new construction of a power facility in Lewiston, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a power facility.
The New York Power Authority (the "Authority" or "NYPA") owns and operates five major generating facilities, seven small natural gas power plants ("SNGPPs") , including four dual units, and four small hydropower facilities with a total installed capacity of approximately 6,000 megawatts (MW), and approximately 1,565 circuit-miles of transmission lines, including major 765 kilovolt (KV) and 345 kV transmission facilities. NYPA also owns and operates one utility-scale 20 MW battery energy storage system. NYPA is committed to supporting the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA) through its VISION2030 Renewed 10-year strategic plan, which outlines NYPA's mission to lead the State's transition to a carbon-free, economically vibrant New York through customer partnerships, joint development opportunities, innovative energy solutions, and the responsible supply of affordable, clean, and reliable energy. Engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) for a solar project as specified in the technical requirements. Set-asides: 15% MBE, 15% WBE.
