Description: This project, located in Anne Arundel County, includes slope stabilization measures to address slope erosion at various locations within the I-195 (Metropolitan Blvd) and MD 295 (Baltimore-Washington Pkwy) interchange. The work will consist of the following: (a) Install intercepting side ditches (intercept swales with a clay core) to capture roadway runoff, prevent seepage, and direct drainage to stable outfalls. (b) Construct new outfalls and repair an existing damaged outfall to improve the drainage system. (c) Stabilize larger eroded slopes using geotextile inclusions with embankment borrow. (d) Repair smaller erosion rills using fiber rolls with embankment borrow. (e) Installing compliant traffic barriers and end treatments are impacted by proposed improvements. Classification: E - $2,500,001 to $5,000,000 In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00 The MDOT SHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
