The Glenbow Renovation Project - P4.03 Theatre Fit-Out will include interior fit-out of the theatre space of Levels 1 and 2 to support the future function of the building. Included in the scope is the renovation/adjustment of existing Mechanical and Electrical systems and the addition of theatrical equipment to support the intended use of the space as a theatre. The work is scheduled for construction between November 2026 and May 2027. The Theatre Fit-Out Package comprises an isolated portion of the Glenbow Museum, accessible from the ground floor at the south-east corner of the building. The Work encompasses approximately 14,000 square feet of usable floor area across two levels, including a partially open floor plate, raked auditorium slab, and extensive exterior curtain wall system that provides natural light into the space. The interior fit-out is budgeted as a $4 million construction scope and includes detailed architectural finishes incorporating soft and natural materials to compliment the exposed structural features of the base building and the industrial feel of the visible system infrastructure. Upon completion, the space is intended to function as a flexible presentation and event venue, complete with the comfort, acoustic performance, and audio-visual capabilities associated with a modern auditorium or intimate theatre.
