Removal and proper disposal of the existing track surface, crack repairs, installation of new track surface and striping of the new track surface. The Work called for in these Bid Documents involves the resurfacing of the track at Collin Stadium at South High School, located at 2002 M Street, Omaha, NE 68107. The Work includes, but is not limited to, the removal of the existing track surface, the proper disposal of designated removed items, restoration and cleaning of removed items designated for re-use, crack repairs, the installation of a new track surface, and the surfacing and striping of the new track surface. in general, all materials and equipment to be furnished by Contractor ("Contractor" is defined in Section 5.1 below) must be of good quality, new and unused, undamaged, properly constructed and installed as required in the Contract Documents (as defined in Section 5.1 below), and of the types of equipment and materials as specified. It is the Contractor's responsibility to protect Work performed and in progress until Final Completion. In addition, daily removal of debris and repair of any damage caused by Work under the Contract Documents is considered within the scope of Work and is the responsibility of the Contractor. Contractor shall be responsible for the performance and completion of all of the Work for the Project. Unless specifically prohibited by the Contract Documents, Contractor may retain qualified and responsible subcontractors for the performance of parts of the Work. Such subcontractors must be reasonably acceptable to the District. Contractor shall be fully responsible to District for all acts and omissions of the Contractor's subcontractors, suppliers, and other individuals or entities performing or furnishing any of the Work provided by or under the control of the Contractor, just as Contractor is responsible for Contractor's own acts and omissions. No acceptance by District of any such subcontractor, supplier, or other individual or entity, whether initially or as a replacement, shall constitute a waiver of the right of District to the completion of the Work in accordance with this Contract Documents. Contractor shall be solely responsible for scheduling and coordinating the Work of subcontractors, suppliers, and all other individuals or entities performing or furnishing any of the Work, which are under the control of Contractor. All Work must be done in accordance with best trade practices using qualified workmen. All Work shall be performed in a manner that does not void any manufacturer's warranty. All engineering work and plan preparations for shop drawings and other Contractor submittals shall be the responsibility of the Contractor, who shall utilize qualified and licensed engineers for such work.
