The Town of Wellesley Department of Public Works (DPW) is issuing Bid Documents for Contract No. 27C-430-1787 for the Phillips Park Playground Installation and Site Work Project at Phillips Park, located at 17R Maugus Avenue in Wellesley, MA. This facility is owned by the Town of Wellesley. The project involves the removal and replacement of an existing playground area at the Phillips Park Park. The property is owned by the Town of Wellesley and is under the jurisdiction of the Natural Resources Department. The project design is by the Department of Public Works in conjunction with the Natural Resources Department. Project oversight will be by the Town of Wellesley DPW Park & Tree Division. The Town of Wellesley has purchased the playground equipment for the playground area from M.E. O'Brien & Sons, Inc., as described in the project specifications. Equipment has been ordered and is currently being stored in the Town of Wellesley DPW Yard at 20 Municipal Way. The General Contractor shall pick up the playground equipment from the Town of Wellesley DPW and deliver it to the project job site at Phillips Park. The playground equipment shall be delivered and installed as detailed in the Scope of Work section of this specification. The Town of Wellesley specifically reserves the right to delete from the Contract any of the items stipulated in the "General Description of the Work" should, in its opinion, such action be necessary. The Town of Wellesley further reserves the right, should funds be available, to add to the items stipulated in the "General Description of the Work" should in its opinion, such action be in the best interest of the Town of Wellesley. Question Deadline 09/17/2026 Bidders shall promptly notify the Engineer of questions, ambiguities, inconsistencies, errors, or omissions, which they may discover upon examination of the Contract Documents, the site, and local conditions.
