The Project is more specifically defined in the Project Documents, but generally includes all labor, materials, parts, equipment, and incidentals necessary to provide a floor replacement project at the Alameda County Public Works Agency (PWA) Flood Office building located The contractor shall furnish all expertise, labor, materials, parts, equipment, and incidentals necessary to provide a complete floor replacement project at the Public Works Agency Flood Office building, located at 951 Turner Ct, Hayward, California. The contractor shall remove approximately 23,000 square feet of existing flooring and associated materials and install approximately 19,000 square feet of new carpet tile and 4,000 square feet of new luxury vinyl flooring. The work includes demolition of existing flooring, temporary moving or lifting furniture, moisture testing, substrate preparation, installation of new flooring systems, transition strips, rubber base, final cleaning, attic stock, warranties, and all work necessary to provide a complete installation. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to possess the following State of California Contractor Licenses: B or C-15The Bidders license must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. A bid bond by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the County, an electronic bid bond by use of Surety2000, or a cashiers check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the County of Alameda, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Work. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. If the County awards the Contract, the security of unsuccessful bidder(s) shall be returned within sixty (60) days from the time the award is made. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening. The budgetary estimate for the scope of work is approximately $400,000 Contract Duration Begins: January 22, 2027 Contract Duration Ends: July 21, 2027 Contractor shall provide a complete floor replacement project which consists of the following: a. Remove and properly dispose of approximately 23,000 square feet of existing carpet tile, resilient flooring, adhesives, rubber base, and associated materials. i . Prepare existing floor substrates as required to provide a smooth, clean, and level surface suitable for installation of new flooring. ii . Floor preparation shall include patching, leveling, moisture mitigation (if required) and removal of residual adhesives in accordance with the flooring manufacture's recommendations and requirements. b. Perform concrete slab inspection and moisture testing in accordance with manufacturer requirements. c. Install approximately 19,000 square feet of Patcraft Natural Form Carpet Tile, Color Tree Line 00705, in accordance with the manufacturer's installation requirements and County approved layout. d. Install approximately 4,000 square feet of ShawContract Abide Luxury Vinyl Tile, Color Coriander Oak 07720, in accordance with the manufacturer's installation requirements and County approved layout. e. Install new 4" black rubber base. f. Install all required transition strips, reducers, edge strips, and accessories necessary to provide a complete installation. g. Coordinate all work with the County to minimize disruption to building operations. Work shall be completed in multiple phases to maintain occupancy and continuous operation of the facility. h. Provide all required furniture moving, lifting, protection, and resetting necessary to complete the work. i . If required, relocate existing furniture, modular workstations, equipment, and other movable furnishings as needed to complete the flooring replacement. Furniture shall be carefully moved, protected from damage, and returned to its original location upon completion of flooring installation in each work area. i . Protect all adjacent finishes, walls, doors, furniture, and building components from damage during work. Any damage caused by the Contractor shall be repaired or replaced at no additional cost to the County. j. Implement dust, noise, and odor control measures appropriate for an occupied facility. Maintain safe pedestrian access and provide temporary barriers, signage, and protection as necessary. k. Upon completion of each work area, return furniture and equipment to their original locations, clean the newly installed flooring in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, and prepare the space for immediate occupancy.
