Demolition, site work, paving, new construction and renovation of a water / sewer project in Decatur, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; and for the construction of a water / sewer project.

The project consists of wastewater treatment plant infrastructure improvements divided into six design packages, including headworks upgrades, structural repairs, mechanical system replacements, electrical and control work, blower upgrades, clarifier mechanism replacements, effluent pump station enhancements, digester upgrades, odor control systems, and solids handling improvements. Construction includes demolition, concrete repair, piping, and coordination of pre-procured equipment. The Project includes the following Work, which is divided among six design packages. Coordination between each of the design packages will be required by the Contractor. Design Package 1 includes upgrades to the West Headworks Grit Chambers, structural upgrades to multiple structures in the West Headworks, HVAC upgrades to the East Screen Building and Primary Clarifier Control Structure, rebuild of East Headworks screens, replacement of the East Headworks Grit mechanisms, structural upgrades to East Headworks Grit Chambers, East Headworks primary clarifier weir replacement, East Headworks primary sludge pump replacements and associated controls and piping upgrades, and all associated electrical and controls work. Design Package 2 includes demolition of the existing Paint Building, Secondary Clarifier Channel, and UNOX Tank. Design Package 2 also includes upgrades to RAS piping and flow measurement, upgrades to the Anaerobic and Fermentation Tanks (currently called Secondary Aeration Tanks) including structural repairs and slide gate upgrades, a new BNR Compressor Building and BNR Compressed Air mixing system, new odorous air (OA) treatment system including fermentation tank covers, and all associated electrical and controls work. A new fermentation tank is included as Bid Alternate 1 . Design Package 3 includes blower intake filter replacements, Aerobic Tanks (currently called Nitrification Aeration Tanks) aeration diffuser replacements, effluent channel diffuser replacements, installation of a new blower, structural repairs at the Nitrification Clarifier Diversion Control structures, new flow measurement at the Nitrification Clarifier Diversion Control structures, and all associated electrical and controls work.
