The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to identify offerors with relevant experience and provenperformance on similar projects. After evaluation by committee, the most qualified offerors may be invited to proceed tothe second phase of the construction service procurement process: the Invitation for Bid (IFB). MR #: 236-12708-00807 Sadie Heath Cabaniss Hall was constructed in 2006 as part of the School of Nursing at Virginia Commonwealth University. Sadie Heath Cabaniss Hall is a four-story building generally constructed with metal stud framing, brick veneer, precast concrete banding elements, and punched windows. 1. 2. 3. Glave & Holmes Architecture and WDP performed a condition assessment that included diagnostic water testing in isolated areas to evaluate moisture related issues through the building envelope. Based on the results of this assessment, the University has elected to conduct a window replacement project and isolated repairs at the upper north stair tower and base of wall at the north courtyard in order to limit water infiltration into the building. This project is not intended and should not be expected to address all the deficiencies of the building, specifically with respect to the deficient through wall flashings beyond the limits of work, the lack of an effective air/water barrier and the unfavorable hygrothermal performance resulting from the insulation and vapor retarder placement.
