Description of Work: The work generally consists of the drilling of a public water supply well with a depth of approximately 1,200 feet, earthwork and chain link fencing at the well site, construction of approximately 1,850 linear feet of pipe from the well site, and an outlet to the Eastside Canal. The project site is located east of Bakersfield , California, north of Shirley Lane and east of S. Fairfax Road. Bonds: 10% Bid Bond, Certified Check required, Performance Bond required (unspecified amount), Payment Bond required (unspecified amount). Work will be substantially completed within 180 CONSECUTIVE CALENDAR DAYS If any person or entity contemplating submitting a bid for the proposed Contract is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the plans, specifications, or other contract documents, or finds discrepancies in, or omissions from the plans and specifications or other contract documents, it may submit to the Engineer a written request for an interpretation or correction thereof. The person submitting the request will be responsible for its prompt delivery. An interpretation or correction of the Contract Documents will be made only by Addendum duly issued by the Engineer. A copy of such Addendum will be mailed or delivered to each person or entity that has received a set of such documents. The Owner and the Engineer will not be responsible for any other explanation or interpretation of the documents.
