The City of Carlsbad (City) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) for the City's Fleet Maintenance Building Refurbishment Project (Project). The objective of this prequalification process is to identify Contractors deemed qualified and capable of successfully completing the construction of the Project in accordance with the Project specifications and plans, based on prior similar work, client references and staffing. Prequalification does not constitute the City's approval or endorsement of a Contractor's specific personnel, equipment, or construction methods, regardless of whether such details are included in the Contractor's SOQ. This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) represents the initial phase (Step 1) of the City's procurement process to select a qualified Contractor for the Project. The City will not compensate Contractors for any costs associated with preparing, submitting, or participating in the RFQ process. Issuance of this RFQ does not obligate the City to award a contract or to undertake any procurement or contracting activities related to the Project. The City is seeking construction services for the development of the Project. The Project is located at 2480 Impala Drive in the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, California. The scope of work includes providing all necessary equipment, labor, materials, tools, services, transportation, permits, utilities, and any other items required to complete the construction of the Project. The Contractor will be responsible for furnishing all management, supervision, labor, services, temporary facilities, equipment, tools, supplies, and any additional resources needed to successfully complete the work . The Project will be completed in two phases . Phase 1 consists of establishing temporary facilities to support Fleet operations during construction, including a tent structure for vehicle maintenance, staff trailers, and associated utility connections. The City has identified vendors for the tent structure, trailers, and temporary power services. The Contractor shall retain these vendors, coordinate their work, and provide and install water and sewer connections to the trailers in accordance with City requirements. Upon certification by the City that the temporary facilities are ready for occupancy, Fleet staff will relocate operations to the temporary facilities. Phase 2 consists of the refurbishment of the Fleet Maintenance Building, including all work shown on the plans and specifications .
