Provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, demolition, and construction services necessary to upgrade infrastructure in support of the Electronic Health Records Modernization (EHRM) system at the VA Medical Center campus. Work includes site preparation, demolition and removal of existing structures, and modifications to multiple existing buildings. The project consists of upgrading facility fiber optic infrastructure, including fiber distribution within building corridors and required connections; construction and upgrade of telecommunications rooms (TRs) with associated architectural, electrical, and mechanical improvements; installation of telecommunications equipment room fittings and cabling; replacement and upgrade of horizontal cabling from telecommunications rooms to work area outlets (WAOs); upgrades to supporting electrical and mechanical systems; and physical security enhancements for the data center and telecommunications rooms to comply with applicable Office of Information and Technology (OIT) standards and Physical Security and Resiliency Design Manual (PSRDM) requirements. magnitude of construction is between $20,000,000.00 and $50,000,000.00 The work also includes installation and upgrading of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and telecommunications infrastructure necessary to support data center operations while maintaining functionality within an active healthcare environment.
