Replace damaged metal floor joists and floor slats on two floor levels of the Fire Training Tower. 0134-0220-047 The Work generally includes the following: 1. Selective demolition and removal of existing fire-damaged floor panels and floor joist members as indicated on the Drawings, including removal of existing connections, fasteners, clip angles, and other components necessary to facilitate installation of the replacement framing. 2. Furnishing and installation of new cold-formed steel floor joists, floor panels, connection components, fasteners, and related materials to replace damaged structural elements, as indicated on the Drawings. 3. Replacement of floor panels above the repaired framing within the areas of construction, complete with required fastening and connections. 4. Removal, protection, and reinstallation of existing pipes, hangers, and other components that interfere with the Work, as indicated on the Drawings. 5. Providing temporary protection, shoring, bracing, supports, barriers, and other measures necessary to safely perform the Work and to maintain the existing structure and adjacent facilities in a safe and stable condition during demolition and construction. 6. Providing all temporary measures and sequencing necessary to protect existing structural and nonstructural components that are to remain and to prevent damage resulting from demolition, removal , handling, installation, or construction operations. 7. Repairing damaged galvanized coatings and providing protection of new and existing work as required by the Contract Documents. 8. Removal and legal disposal of demolished materials, debris, and other construction waste generated by the Work. 9. Cleaning the Work areas and restoring affected areas and existing components to their preconstruction condition, except where specifically modified by the Contract Documents.
