The proposed projects include a mast arm signal installation that will upgrade the existing traffic signal and equipment to meet traffic signal, ADA, and PROWAG standards. The selected firm will provide traffic count analysis to develop a signal timing plan for each location , including reviewing each location for warranted left-turn movements. The selected firm will also need to coordinate signal timing with the other signals located on SR 48 in the City. The City uses Wavetronix stop bar radar, Siemens controllers, Alpha UPS, LED-backlit street signs, and LED cobra head street lighting, and is tied to a fiber optics network. The RFP attachments include a sample set of signal rebuild construction drawings for reference when developing the plans. The design shall include four locations that will require property work to create the instruments needed to acquire additional right-of-way for the project. The four locations are the northeast and southeast corners of Far Hills Avenue and North Village Drive and the northeast and southeast corners of Far Hills Avenue and Loop Road. The final plans should include right-of-way sheets and record plats, which will be used to purchase the needed right-of-way. The City will acquire the property.
