Renovation of a laboratory facility in Ames, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.
Summary Project Description: Base Design: Relocate a used MAU unit provided by the Owner for installation in this location. This work anticipates that the salvaged unit will be placed on the roof of the Sign Shop to replace the existing MAU unit hung from the roof structure in the dock area adjacent to the District 1 Materials Lab. This relocated MAU will connect to existing distribution ductwork with rework of this connection as noted on the drawings. The updated control system will integrate with the overall system used at the Ames Complex. Add Alternate #1 : Replace the existing exhaust fan as shown on the drawings. Replace existing dampers with new dampers with updated controls. Connect the new exhaust fan and dampers to the new control system. Add Alternate #2: Replacethe existing AHU hanging from the roof structure in the lab space as shown on the drawings. Connect new AHU to the new control system.
