Refurbishment of the central stairs and a portion of the upper deck at Werner Park. This project is a refurbishment of the Central Stair at Werner Park. The work is to be completed during the Omaha Storm Chasers off-season. The project must be completed by March 5, 2027, prior to the start of the 2027 season . The project includes selective demolition to remove existing stair treads, risers, and select portion of upper deck; preparation of existing metal surfaces to receive new stair treads and risers; new precast concrete stair treads; steel deck with concrete and polyurethane floor coating; structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication; and painting. The project includes two alternates. Alternate # 1 to add a galvanized and painted steel plate to the face of the existing stair stringer. Alternate # 2 to expand the extents of the upper deck replacement. The scope of services sought for this project include selective demolition of existing stair and deck parts, steel fabrication, concrete deck pouring, precast tread installation, caulking and painting, and flooring installation. The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, permits , and insurance that may be necessary to perform and complete the project in a workman like manner. All other services that may be necessary and proper for the successful completion of the Project.
