Reference Number 0000332025 Construction of a new proximity parking structure (P1) with approximately 6,000 parking spaces on 7 levels consisting of 6 above-grade floors and 1 heated underground level; pedestrian connections to the terminal via level-5 walkways; cast-in-place reinforced concrete structure; elevators and vertical circulation cores; associated civil, architectural, electrical, mechanical and specialty works. To increase the airport's capacity to handle thirty-five million (35,000,000) passengers annually and ensure smooth traffic flow in front of the terminal building, the Access Program was implemented. The program's objectives are as follows: a) to improve city-side infrastructure, including drop-off areas, nearby parking, and access to public transit; b) to integrate an efficient passenger interface between the REM Airport Station and the terminal building to promote multimodality; c) to develop the terminal building in line with the overall terminal development plan; and d) to implement various elevated walkways connecting future facilities to different points within the terminal building to ensure smooth passenger flow. The multi-level parking lot/P1 is a key component of the Access Program due to its central location, occupying a significant area at the heart of the site, and its proximity to other Access Program facilities. This system serves as the starting point for many travelers seeking short- or long-term parking, ValetPark services, and a new underground temperature-controlled parking service.
