The City of Turlock (hereinafter referred to as the "City") is requesting Proposals for qualified vendors to provide pest and weed control services for City and Stanislaus Regional Water Authority (SRWA) owned properties. This solicitation, which is administered by the City of Turlock (City) for the benefit of the City and SRWA, is expected to result in two (2) agreements: one with each entity. The base term for both agreements shall be for a period of five (5) years. Question Submission Deadline: September 21, 2026, 3:00pm The City invites you to submit a proposal for Pest and Weed Control Services. All work must comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 3.1. Pest Control Services Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials and equipment necessary to accomplish the monitoring, trapping, pesticide application and pest removal of pest as follows: Spiders, cockroaches and beetles; Crickets and other hoppers; Ants (all species) earwigs, sow bugs, silverfish and other crawling insects; Fleas and other biting insects; Wasps, hornets and other stinging insects nesting in the interior or exterior up to a maximum height of two (2) stores; Moths and other flying pests; Weevils and other food pests; and Mice, rats and other rodents. Service shall be provided to occupied or unoccupied locations, but not limited to, basements, crawl spaces, offices, storage areas/rooms, closets, baseboards, plumbing and heating pipes, shelves, elevators, walls/ enclosures, kitchen, dining room, cafeteria, food preparation and storage areas, refuse containers and surrounding storage areas, offices, lavatory and shower areas, hallways and lounge areas. The Contractor shall also provide detailed, site-specific recommendations for structural and procedural modifications to prevent future infestation. Emergency response, when required, is expected within four (4) hours, with necessary remedial action completed within one (1) business day. Basic service: Interior and exterior treatment for the control of ants, roaches, spiders, beetles, moths, earwigs, fleas, silverfish, rats (mice) and/or like rodents. The agreement does not include termites or other wood-destroying organisms. Communication with the City's project manager is essential, when coordinating the work under this agreement. Contractor's project manager shall notify the City's project manager via e-mail whenever the project manager or department calls the Contractor for any work, including "special issues" such as massive bug infestation, wasp, ants, black bugs etc., and prior to scheduling any work for the City. Contractor shall notify City's project manager by email [preferred, then there is documentation] when they arrive on site and when they depart the site and, describe what work was performed, if any. Prior to beginning service, the Contractor will provide the City with a service schedule which will include day of service, time, facility name and frequency. Service reports/tags will be provided on each visit to either key personnel (if available) or delivered to the City of Turlock Parks, Recreation and Public Facilities located at 144 S. Broadway, Turlock during normal business hours. Contractor may NOT leave service report/tags on a vacant desk. If provider is unable to provide service reports/tags physically to this location, provide a description of process on how you will comply with verification that services have been rendered at each location.
