Project Scope: 2026 Fiber Optic Network Expansion to add resiliency to the City of Tuscaloosa's fiber optic network by placing overhead utilities underground, run redundant underground routes to existing service locations and expand to new service locations through installation of underground conduit. The City will provide Junction boxes, HDPE Conduit on spools, and Couplers. Contractor will call in their own locates, do the boring, and pull the City's conduit in and install provided junction boxes. All underground bore pipe shall be mechanically coupled using provided couplers only. Question Deadline 10/02/2026 Bidders may submit to the Engineer/Architect or Construction Manager, as the case may be, a written request for an interpretation thereof at least ten (10) days prior to bid opening .
