Introduction to Scope of Work The Municipality of Lakeshore is located in Southwestern Ontario along the south shore of Lake St. Clair. The municipality is approximately of 525 km2 in size with a 40 km Lake St. Clair shoreline, 40 km section of Highway 401 , 2 rail lines, a large industrial park and multiple communities throughout. Seventy-six percent of the approximate 40,000 residents live in the urbanized northwest corner. The majority of the municipal landmass is rural . The Municipality of Lakeshore is planning replace the existing watermain from Old Tecumseh Road southerly along East Pike Creek Road, Buckwheat Lane, and Beckett Lane. The existing cast iron watermain pipe was installed in 1959. Due to the age and condition of the pipe, the Municipality is planning to replace and upgrade it.
