Replace existing freestanding school identification/message sign including removal, disposal, fabrication, delivery, and installation; reuse of existing brick base. Gloucester County Public Schools is soliciting a firm, fixed-price, turnkey quotation to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, removal, disposal, fabrication, delivery, installation, permits, and incidentals necessary to replace the existing freestanding school identification/message sign while reusing the existing brick base. 1. Provide one new double-sided, non-LED exterior school identification/message sign. The sign cabinet/message area shall be approximately 48 inches high x 96 inches wide. The decorative pediment/top is in addition to the 48-inch height. 2. The replacement shall be compatible with and securely mounted to the existing brick base. Contractor shall field verify all dimensions, attachment points, structural conditions, clearances, and site conditions before fabrication. 3. The sign is located within the historic courthouse area. Electronic/LED message centers are not permitted. The proposed sign shall be a traditional, non-electronic design appropriate for the location and shall comply with all applicable zoning, historic-area, permitting, and code requirements. The existing sign is externally lit. The new sign shall include internal illumination, to the extent permitted by applicable code and historic-area requirements. GCPS staff will assist with the electrical connections, if needed. 4. Include a manually changeable message area on both faces, school identification, weather-resistant exterior construction, all lettering/graphics, trim, mounting hardware, supports, and other components required for a complete installation. Final colors, lettering, layout, and appearance shall be coordinated with and approved by GCPS before fabrication. 5. Carefully remove and legally dispose of the existing sign components not being reused. Protect the existing brick base and surrounding site. Repair, at no additional cost, damage caused by the Contractor. 6. Quote shall include all mobilization, lifts/equipment, delivery/freight, permits/fees, utility coordination if applicable, cleanup, and restoration. No additional charges will be accepted for items reasonably necessary to provide a complete turnkey installation. 7. Submit with the quote: product/material description, proposed sign sketch or rendering, warranty information, anticipated lead time, installation duration, and any assumptions or exceptions. 8. Award will be based on the GRAND TOTAL TURNKEY/LUMP SUM shown on the Pricing Schedule. Contractor shall not begin work until receipt of a County/School purchase order or other written notice to proceed.
