The Board of Education of the Grosse Pointe Public School System, Wayne County, Michigan, will receive sealed bids for the Boiler & Temperature Controls Replacement at Parcells Middle School , 20600 Mack Avenue, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236. The work generally consists of: Removal of existing boilers, domestic water heater, water storage tank, piping, steam condensate return units, bucket traps, and other items identified in the contract documents. Removal of existing pool boiler (not to be replaced). Installation of new boilers, domestic water heater, water storage tank, piping, steam condensate return units, bucket traps, steam traps, pipe insulation, and other items identified in the contract documents. Installation of new temperature controls system including control valves, wiring, control panels, etc. as identified in the contract documents. Roof penetrations and associated flashings for new thru-roof penetrations. *Pre-Bid Desc: It is the contractor's responsibility to review and become familiar with the job site, conditions, etc. prior to submitting its bid to the district. The bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond valued at five percent (5%) of the proposer's maximum bid amount. The bids shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the Owner(s) or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Board of Education of the School District or the Superintendent of the School District. The Board of Education shall not accept a bid that does not include this sworn and notarized familial relationship disclosure statement. The bids shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized Affidavit of Compliance - Iran Economic Sanctions Act representing and warranting that the Contractor (including its officers, directors and employees) is not an "Iran linked business" within the meaning of the Iran Economic Sanctions Act, Michigan Public Act No. 517 of 2012. Grosse Pointe Public School System's Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bid Proposals, either in whole or in part, to waive any informalities or irregularities therein, or to award the contract to other than the contractor(s) submitting the best financial Bid Proposal (low bidder), in its sole and absolute discretion.
