Site work and paving for a road / highway in Landgrove, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
SCOPE OF WORK: Gravel resurfacing a portion of TH#2 - Landgrove Road beginning at the intersection with Jaquith RD (43.291526, -72.839031) and traveling south approximately 1.5 miles x 20 ' wide x 6" depth The above-described section will consist of placing six inches of aggregate surface course for the full width of the road for approximately 1.5 miles. The contractor is responsible for flaggers and any other traffic control necessary in accordance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. The Town is requesting two (2) unit price options. Option A is the unit price per cubic yard of aggregate surface course being delivered and spread on site by dump truck. Option B is the unit price per cubic yard of aggregate surface course being delivered and spread on site by dump truck and properly graded. All areas are to be graded evenly and neatly with no wash boarding or excessive windrows or left over material due to improper operation or faulty equipment. The Contractor does NOT need to provide a price for both options for the bid to be considered complete. If the plant provides truck slips in tons, a conversion factor of 1.35 tons/cubic yards will be used to calculate quantities for payment. Material will be a crushed gravel aggregate surface course. The Town will need to approve of the material prior to it being placed.
