Question Deadline 10/02/2026 at 1:00 PM MT Questions shall be submitted through our online solicitation system , Utah Public Procurement Place (U3P) powered by online Expansion of the existing solar panel array located on the roof of the Clark Planetarium. Salt Lake County Contracts and Procurement, on behalf of the Clark Planetarium , "County" invites your company "Bidder" to bid on expanding the existing solar panel array located on the roof of the Clark Planetarium. Salt Lake County is looking for qualified bidders to design , permit, and install additional solar photovoltaic panels and inverters on the roof of the existing Clark Planetarium building at the Gateway in Salt Lake City, UT. The existing system consists of (6) rows of 24 panels (144 panels total) at approximately a 40-degree tilt. Each existing panel is Evergreen Solar 190 W (ES-190-RL) for a total DC size of 27,360 W (See Exhibit 1 ). The array combines and runs into two SolarEdge 14.4 kW (208V/3-phase) inverters located within a penthouse mechanical space just north of the array location. The arrays are tied into an existing 120/208V, 100A panelboard located within the same room. The PV disconnect is labeled at this location as well as on a placard mounted to the existing Clark Planetarium utility meter located in the building's north metering room . No changes to the existing solar PV array are anticipated. Proposed PV System Expansion The rooftop area just south of the existing array has been prepared to accommodate additional PV panels. The space available for the array is approximately 30' x 76' . Provide a minimum of 48 new panels mounted on a ballasted racking system at a 5-degree tilt and minimum of 2' spacing between the rows. The new system must produce a minimum of 27,200 kWh/year. Provide new SolarEdge inverters with connections to the existing SolarEdge monitoring system. Inverters may be located on the roof adjacent to the panels or wall mounted adjacent to the existing inverters within the mechanical penthouse. Include all programming necessary to update the monitoring system to include the expanded PV system. The existing Siemens 100A solar PV panel will need to be removed and replaced and upgraded to a 200A 120/208V panelboard with 200A main breaker. Feed this panel from the same 5DPLB distribution panel and replace the existing 100A feeder breaker with a new 200A breaker. Feed the new panel with 4 #3/0, #6 GR in 2" CND. Provide shop drawing level coordination drawings and full set of documentation to be submitted to Salt Lake City for permitting. Solar Edge inverters must be used and integrated into the current Solar Edge monitoring platform. This is a rooftop application, and specialty equipment will be required to deliver all goods and tools
