The budgetary estimate for the scope of work is approximately $ 1,975,000. The County of Alameda ("County"), General Services Agency ("GSA") will receive sealed bids for the following project, Bid No. 902686 ("Project" or "Contract"): Administration Building Elevator Modernization (Project Name) The Project is more specifically defined in the Project Documents, but generally includes all labor, materials, parts, equipment, and incidentals necessary to provide an elevator modernization project at 1221 Oak Street, Oakland, California 94612. This is a full turn-key project, and the Contractor is to provide all necessary expertise, labor, materials, parts, equipment, incidentals, and work required to provide a complete project. The Project consists of: Contractor shall furnish all expertise, labor, materials, parts, equipment, and incidentals necessary to provide a modernization of three (3) traction elevators located at 1221 Oak Street, Oakland, California 94612. Elevator modernization work includes but is not limited to a full modernization of the existing commercial, standard electric traction elevators, elevator car and hoistway signal equipment, operation and control systems, accessibility provisions for physically disabled persons, patching, painting etc., and all other related building work necessary to meet the specification, code, and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements. Additionally, the Contractor shall provide elevator maintenance upon issuance of Notice to Proceed and during Warranty Period. Question Deadline 10/15/2026 at 5:00 PM PT Request for Substitutions Deadline: October 15, 2026, 5:00pm A bid bond by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the County, an electronic bid bond by use of Surety2000, or a cashier's check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the County of Alameda, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, shall accompany the Bid Form, as a guarantee that the Bidder will, within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the Notice of Award, enter into a contract with the County for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Work. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. If the County awards the Contract, the security of unsuccessful bidder(s) shall be returned within sixty (60) days from the time the award is made. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening.
