PreQualified Contractors List is approved by the District's Board of Commissioners annually. Only contractors who are successfully pre-qualified through this process will be eligible to submit bids for future work on the District's electrical and fiber systems. Electrical work consists of substation, transmission, and distribution construction projects, streetlights, dock crew projects, meter testing, pole testing and treatment, and tree trimming services. Fiber work consists of splicing, repairs, and overhead and underground fiber construction projects. Prequalification requirements include: Adequate financial resources, or the ability to secure such resources; The necessary experience, organization, and technical qualifications to perform the proposed work; The ability to comply with required performance schedules taking into consideration all of its existing business commitments; A satisfactory record of performance, integrity, judgment, and skill to perform the proposed work; and, Be otherwise qualified and eligible to receive an award under applicable laws and regulations.
