Erosion control, maintenance of drainage, clearing and grubbing, concrete driveway, bioswale, concrete ADA parking, TrueGrid stabilized parking and pathways, fencing and lighting. Sims Creek Preserve abuts Sims Creek, which is a tributary to the Southwest Fork of the Loxahatchee River. The Loxahatchee River (Southwest Fork) is an impaired waterbody with an adopted Fecal Coliform Total Maximum Daily Load. This project aims to reduce stormwater runoff and improve water quality through redirection and capture of stormwater runoff from Center Street into a newly created bioswale planted with native species, and an overall site designed to exceed on-site minimum stormwater retention requirements for a 100-year one day storm event. The driveway and parking areas will be constructed using low impact pervious TrueGrid technology, which will reduce overland flow and discharge to the creek by absorbing water from rain events.
