Central Kitchen Floor Resurfacing Project 1749 Carnegie Ave Santa Ana, CA 92705 Floor resurfacing for the district's central kitchen facility.Selective demolition and construction necessary for the Central Kitchen Floor Resurfacing including associated civil , architectural , structural , plumbing, mechanical and/or electrical work as indicated in the Drawings and Specifications. Generally, these categories of work involve ADA modifications to the parking lot, installation of a lift station and related components, limited exterior and interior improvements, toilet accessories, concrete ramp and curb(s), and fire protection and intrusion detection within modular building(s). Bonds: 10% Bid Bond, Certified Check required, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond. All questions regarding the Contract Documents are to be directed in writing to District. All pre-bid request for information/clarification questions will be received until 4:00 PM on September 22, 2026. Questions or inquiries can be sent via e-mail to construction@sausd.us DVBE (3%) Provide all labor, materials, equipment , supervision, qualified trades , transportation , protection , and incidentals necessary to complete the Central Kitchen Floor Resurfacing Project as a complete and operational installation. Disconnect existing kitchen equipment and associated utilities as required to allow the flooring work to proceed. Disconnections shall be performed by appropriately qualified trades and coordinated with the District .Carefully move the affected kitchen equipment from the work area to the District- designated warehouse/storage area. Protect equipment from damage during disconnection , handling, transport, and storage . Remove and legally dispose of existing flooring, coatings, loose materials, and other materials necessary to expose and prepare the substrate within the limits of work shown on the Drawings . Prepare the existing concrete substrate in accordance with the flooring manufacturer requirements and the project flooring specification, including mechanical surface preparation , cleaning, crack/joint treatment where applicable, and localized patching or repair necessary for installation of the flooring system. Furnish and install the specified seamless cementitious urethane resinous flooring system throughout the areas indicated on the Central Kitchen flooring drawings, including all required aggregate broadcast, grout coat, topcoat, transitions, terminations, keyways , drain perimeter treatment, and incidental work necessary for a complete installation. Provide integral cove base at locations shown or required by the Contract Documents, including cove transitions adjacent to stainless steel wall panels in accordance with the project cove detail . Protect the completed flooring system from traffic, contamination , and damage through the full manufacturer- required curing period . BASE BID prepare and repaint all existing steel bollards within the project limits . Remove loose or failing paint, rust, grease, and contaminants; spot- prime exposed metal with a compatible corrosion-inhibitive primer; and apply two finish coats of industrial safetyyellow coating suitable for the existing conditions. Bollard preparation and painting shall be included in the Base Bid and shall not be treated as an allowance or extra.
