The University of South Carolina - Aiken is seeking quotes for the labor and materials for padding on the Home Run fence and backstop at Roberto Hernandez Baseball Stadium. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment to manufacture and install home run fence padding and backstop padding for the full length and height of both home run fence and back stop. The approximate lengths and heights for the home run fence and back stop are: o Back Stop Wall Left and Right Ends: Left: 41 ' 9" x 4" and 5'10" x 6' Right: 41 ' 9" x 4 ' and 1'6" x 6' Middle Wall o Outfield Wall 49'3" x 4' 624' L x 8' H These measurements are estimates and the contractor shall be responsible for all dimensions of the padding to ensure proper coverage. The padding shall be 3" thick ILD polyfoam mounted on 5/8" OSB and fully wrapped with, at minimum, 18 oz solid vinyl. The new padding shall be mounted to existing fence and backstop with "Z-Clips" for easy removal by owner. The contractor shall provide "Peach Belt", "NCAA", and "USCA" logos on the backstop. The contractor shall provide "USCA Baseball", "NCAA" and other logos on the home run fence padding. On the home run padding, the contractor shall provide 5 distance marker logos and a 6" home run yellow stripe. The color of the padding shall be chosen by the owner. The contractor shall coordinate with the owner all logos, colors, and layout of the padding panels with the owner. Prior to manufacturing the padding, the contractor shall provide a sample of the padding to the owner for approval. The contractor shall be licensed to perform this type of work in South Carolina and have at least five (5) years of experience. All work shall be started within 30 days of the award, and all work shall be completed within 15 days of material delivery. All padding shall be installed prior to January 15, 2027. All work shall be performed Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. All field conditions shall be verified by the contractor prior to ordering material to ensure components are installed correctly. The contractor shall be responsible for repairing any damage to fencing, playing surface or underground utilities that may occur due to installation of the padding. At the end of each day, the contractor shall ensure that the work site is clean and is responsible for disposable of all waste daily. The contractor shall guarantee all work performed and material for one year. Contractor shall a minimum 5 -year warranty on color of all padding from fading and sun damage and standard manufacture warranty on polyfoam.
