Description

Renovation of a municipal facility in Morinville, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The primary objective of this project is to implement HVAC and ventilation upgrades within the Infrastructure Services (IS) Shop in the Town of Morinville. This project is intended to address the identified safety concerns and operational deficiencies. The main objectives are as follows; 1 Improve ventilation and indoor air quality within the IS Shop through increasing the ventilation capacity and contaminant removal during routine maintenance operations. 2 Ensure worker health and safety through the reduction of vehicle exhaust containments, including carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide, through improving automate controls and general exhaust systems. 3 Achieve compliance with current ventilation standards, specifically the requirements defined by ASHRAE 62.1 through updated HVAC systems and control strategies. 4 Ensure compatibility with current building infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical and structural systems. 5 Deliver an efficient and safe facility that supports the Town's infrastructure services operations, aligning with long-term management and safety objectives.
