Demolition, site work and renovation of a multi-residential development in Rock Island, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a multi-residential development; and for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

Removal of existing brick chimney and attic debris, roof patching and shingle blending, removal and installation of new basement stairs and handrailings, and removal and installation of new front porch steps with guardrails. Scope of Work Remove existing brick chimney down below the roof line. Install framing to support the new sheathing patch. Flu liner will be required and connected to the gas fired appliances in the basement. Remove all debris in the attic after chimney removal is completed. It is very possibly some roof reconstructing may be needed as well as the rafter framing to fill in the hole. Blend in the patch with matching shingles. Mechanical permit is required. Remove existing sets of basement stairs with possible the landing as well . Install 2 new sets stairs with 1 1/4" nosing treads, risers, and 3 stringers per steps. This stair system may not be able 2021 IRC applicable due to existing stair well opening. Modifications will be needed to achieve the stair system as close to building codes as possible. Handrailing must be installed Remove steps off the Front porch. Install a new set of steps with all treated lumber. Install the steps in the old foot print of the existing steps. These steps must have multiple stringers no more then 16" apart using 5/4 riser and treads. Install code complaint guard rails on both sides of the stairs. Treated post shall be used at the top, middle, and bottom of stringers to attach the railings to. Post can not be notched. Building permit required before work begins.
