Site work and renovation of a civil project in New Haven, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The project includes construction of a below grade valve vault and associated appurtenances, piping, a new access driveway, new drainage and stormwater management systems, new fencing and site lighting; and new electrical and other communications work to support the new valve vault equipment. This project also includes installation of approximately 1,100 feet of 36-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP) transmission main, approximately 960 feet of 12-inch DIP distribution main on Barnes Avenue, and a 36-inch tapping sleeve and valve on the existing 48-inch prestressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP) within Quinnipiac Avenue. Temporary water main, temporary water services, replacement water services, and associated restoration is included in this project. Replacement or relocation of existing storm drainage and sanitary sewer service laterals on Barnes Avenue is also included. Contractors submitting a bid for this project shall hold a current Prequalification Certificate in the category of "Water Treatment Plants", or "Sewer and Water Lines" from the State of Connecticut Department of Administrative Services (DAS). A copy of the Contractor's DAS Prequalification Certificate and Update (Bid) Statement must be submitted with the bid. This Contact will be required to meet Davis-Bacon and state prevailing wage requirements and subcontracting Minority and Women's Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE) goal conditions (3.0 and 5.0 percent, respectively), per Connecticut Department of Public Health (CTDPH) funding requirements.
