Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; and for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel.

The Scope of Work includes removal of the bridge (3 large corrugated steel culvert pipes) on Schuchart Road over Birch Creek and provides for excavations, pile driving, bridge construction, embankments, asphalt paving, pavement striping, guard rail, traffic control, erosion control and other incidental items and work described in the Project Manual, or reasonably inferable therefrom. Franklin County anticipates issuing notice to proceed sometime between January and March of 2027. No written questions after this date or any verbal questions will be recognized. For a contractor to be awarded this project the contractor must have a fully responsive contractor questionnaire on file with the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission at least 7 days prior to the bid opening date. All bidders must be on MoDOTs Qualified Contractor List per Section 102.2 of the current Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction. The Owner Intends to Award the Contract to the Lowest, Responsive, Responsible Bidder. The Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids, and to Waive Any Irregularities in the Best Interest of the Owner With Modots Consent.
