Sitework: Mass grading, site drainage, backfill of foundation walls, all asphalt shown on the drawings, concrete walks, utility infrastructure, and landscaping. Concrete: Furnish and install cast-in-place concrete for flat and sloped slabs on grade and decks on elevated steel structure. See the attached plans. Masonry: Furnish and install reinforced load-bearing and non-load-bearing concrete masonry units, brick veneer, and stone veneer. See the attached plans. Base-mounted end-suction chilled water pumps (CWP's) and end-suction hot water pumps (HWP's) will be located in the 1st floor Mechanical Equipment Room (MER). The MER will also house boilers, chemical treatment equipment for chilled water and hot water and building entry points for chilled water supply and return piping from the chillers located at a remote chiller enclosure at grade. The heating, cooling and ventilation system will consist of seven built-up AHU's, gas-fired radiant tube heaters & ventilation fans serving shop areas, and roof-mounted and ceiling-mounted exhaust fans (EF's) serving interior spaces requiring exhaust. Heating for the welding shop shall be provided by two gas-fired make-up air units (MAU's) mounted on the roof. AHU's will be variable air volume (VAV) units, serving 80 VAV terminal units providing individual zone temperature control. Air distribution systems will be a combination of insulated galvanized sheet metal ductwork for supply, return and outdoor air, uninsulated exhaust ductwork and double-wall spiral ductwork for exposed ductwork in corridors and other spaces with no ceilings. The elevator equipment room, medical gas pump room, and all data and A/V closets will be conditioned by ten ductless split systems with wall-mounted indoor units.
