Renovation of an educational facility in Calgary, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Work under this contract consists of the Boiler upgrade. The Work is a part of the Project, which comprises the following: Mechanical: .1 Replace existing hydronic boiler unit complete with associate, valves, piping, two existing circulating pumps and controls with two (2) new high efficiency boiler system complete with new primary circulating pump, valves, piping, and controls system. .2 Replace existing chemical feed. .3 All removed existing systems, boilers and associated circulating pumps equipment shall be return in good condition to CBE. .4 Install new gas fired unit heaters as shown on the plans. .5 Install new gas fired unit heater and associated flue as shown on the drawing Architectural/ Structural works as follows: .1 Remove of the concrete curb around demolished boilers in the existing mechanical room; rebuilt the void space and slab under the old boilers; built new housekeeping pad for the equipment’s as shown on drawings. .2 Trench the floor for all removal and installation of new sanitary lines. This includes all work associated with backfilling of the area. .3 Contractor shall patch, paint, and restore all walls; floors and ceilings which are affected under this contract to original and acceptable condition by CBE, visible touch-up work will not be acceptable forms of patching. .4 Note that for opening on the roof contractor retain and use of CBE approved roofing contractor services to maintain the warranty on the roof, no other alternative will be accepted. .5 Epoxy entire mechanical room floor and housekeeping pads as per specifications and approved by CBE team. .6 All painting to match existing and approved by CBE team; Contractor to ensure that all serviceable valves, controls to be mounted at height that is accessible by O&M staff, coordinate with CBE prior to final installation. .7 All piping or components arrive to the site must have caps to prevent contamination during shipping and storage; and .8 All existing demolished piping to be removed from site, no abandoned piping shall be left behind in the facility. Electrical .1 The summary of electrical work for JK Mulloy School is to disconnect and remove feeders, conduit, disconnect and starters for existing pumps and boiler found in the boiler room. .2 Provide new feeders and conduit in existing panel ‘MA’ for new pumps P-01, P-02 found in boiler room. .3 Provide new feeders, conduit and disconnect in existing panel ‘MA’ for new boilers (B-01 and B-02) found in boiler room. .4 Provide new breaker, conduit and feeder in existing panel ‘E’ for new emergency boiler shutdown button, one for each boiler.
