Procurement of 40-foot HAPCO street light poles to support county roadway infrastructure and illumination needs. All questions must be submitted within the County's E-Procurement Portal under the Questions and Answers section no later than 4:00 PM PS/DT on October 2nd, 2026. SCOPE OF WORK The Supplier shall furnish Pierce County with HAPCO, or approved equal , aluminum street light poles and associated hardware, as needed. Poles and associated hardware shall comply with the following specifications and drawings (reference attachment 1): 1.1. General 1.1.1. 1.1.2. Description 1.1.1.1. This section covers the materials, fabrication, and performance requirements for a tapered aluminum street light pole, complete with base flange, bracket arm interface, grounding provisions, and accessory components. Standards 1.1.2.1. All design, fabrication, and materials shall conform to the latest applicable requirements of the following standards: 1.1.2.1.1. AASHTO Specifications for Structural Supports for Highway Signs, Luminaires, and Traffic Signals (2015, LRFDLTS- 1 ) with current interims. 1.2. 1.1.3. Materials 1.2.1. 1.2.2. 1.2.3. Design Criteria 1.1.3.1. Minimum design life: 50 years 1.1.3.2. Ultimate wind speed: 115 mph, 3-second gust, 1,700-year MRI 1.1.3.3. Service wind speed: 76 mphaterials 1.2.1. 1.2.2. 1.2.3. Design Criteria 1.1.3.1. Minimum design life: 50 years 1.1.3.2. Ultimate wind speed: 115 mph, 3-second gust, 1,700-year MRI 1.1.3.3. Service wind speed: 76 mph Aluminum Shaft 1.2.1.1. The pole shaft shall be a one-piece, seamless, round, full-length tapered tube of aluminum, minimum 0.188 in wall , alloy 6063-T6 or better. 1.2.1.2. The shaft shall be full length, heat-treated after welding to the base flange to achieve a T6 temper. 1.2.1.3. The upper end of the shaft, at the bracket arm connection, shall be ovalized with the major axis in the vertical orientation. Base Flange - Small - 8" butt/base 1.2.2.1. The base flange shall be a one-piece cast socket type manufactured from aluminum alloy 356 or better. 1.2.2.2. The bolt circle pattern shall accommodate an 11.5-inch anchor bolt pattern. 1.2.2.3. Welds between the shaft and flange shall consist of a complete circumferential weld, external at the top of the flange and internal at the bottom of the shaft tube. Base Flange - Large - 10 " butt/base 1.2.3.1. The base flange shall be a one-piece cast socket type manufactured from aluminum alloy 356 or better.
