Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Montclair, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Portable concrete ramp replacement. Question Deadline 10/13/2026 at 1:00 PM PT Location : online portal. The work shall include but not be limited to the following: Supply temp utilities (i.e. Power, water, lighting, etc.) as required to perform this work. Provide dust control, traffic control , flagmen , barricades and safety for work within this contract for the entire length of the project. While working onsite, all workers are to wear appropriate clothing for the work being performed (i.e. Pants, shirts, safety vests, hard hats, and safety glasses). The General Contractor shall provide temporary drinking water and cups and/or bottles according to the latest OSHA regulations. All survey, layout, field engineering and staking required for the work of this bid package is the responsibility of this General Contractor. Work within or near the public immediately; the contractor must contact Dig Alert 811 toll-free. Please allow two (2) working days before digging. Upon receipt, the contractor is to provide the Dig Alert ticket to the owner representative, construction manager, etc. Locate and identify existing underground utilities, structures, and other installations prior to trenching and excavation. Backfill and compaction are to be in accordance with the Contract Documents. Patching to match existing conditions, including all hardscape, landscape, and irrigation work. All planned trenching shall be approved in advance ofany work. Provide and maintain portable toilets per CAL/OSHA regulations with cleaning service weekly or as needed by the project and for the duration of the project. In addition to the temporary toilets, hand washing facilities shall be provided adjacent to each of the toilets. General Contractor to provide SWPPP compliant containment of all temp toilets and temp hand wash facilities. Provide and maintain a trash can adjacent to each hand wash station and provide regular dumping of the trash can as required. All Construction zones shall be fenced in with temporary fencing so as to provide a barrier between construction and staff/students. Provide, install and maintain for the duration of the project a 6' high temporary construction fence and gates as required (see attached Site Logistics Plan ). The fence shall conform to the latest edition of CAL OSHA Safety Orders and per special conditions. All gates and fencing shall include fabric vision barrier. Also included in the contract are the costs to repair all temporary construction fencing as required during the duration of the project, as well as, the removing and relocating of any temporary fencing as required. Provide daily cleanup of all construction debris to the satisfaction of the Construction Manager. Provide and maintain on a daily basis a sufficient amount of typical 40-yard trash bins to accommodate the construction refuse and daily debris removal for ALL construction activities. General Contractor to include all dump fees within the base bid. Provide final cleanup of the entire project, including cleaning and wiping down all finished surfaces, sweeping, and power washing the work area when complete. Provide, install, and maintain a concrete truck wash-out area and general washout area. Coordinate location with Construction Manager. Wash out area to be in compliance with SWPPP. Provide dewatering and restoration of unsuitable soil / grade conditions immediately after any rain for the work of this contract. Provide sacking at all concrete finishes that are exposed to view and are not receiving a finish. The General Contractor is responsible for determining the extent of all soil import and export for the project needs according to the contract documents and is responsible for all fees associated with the soil , including trucking, handling, and disposal . Soil import is not limited to soil alone and may include, but is not limited to, CAB, CMB, Sand, and Misc. soils-related materials that are needed to complete the scope of the project. The General Contractor is to include in the base bid the following overexcavation and re-compaction requirements for the project: 1 ) Remove and dispose of all materials resulting from cleaning and grubbing. 2) Compact the existing native soil per specifications.3. Prior to paving, the upper 12 inches of subgrade soils should be scarified, adjusted to within 2% of optimum moisture and compacted to a minimum of 90% relative compaction if base is used in the pavement section or 95% relative compaction for full depth asphalt sections (no base used in the pavement section). All aggregate or miscellaneous base courses should be compacted to a minimum of 95% relative compaction. The laboratory standard used to establish the maximum density and optimum moisture shall be ASTM D1557. For demolition of the existing concrete ramp and adjacent site work, contractor to perform this activity after hours or on weekends so as not to impact the site during school days. Per Exhibit "A" - Contractor to include in their base bid the cost to remove 645 Square feet of existing asphalt and 40 Sq Ft of concrete, prep subgrade, adjust utility box lids to finished elevations, install new 4" asphalt (645 Sq Ft.) and new 4" concrete (40 Sq Ft. ) over compact native soil . Match adjacent surface to render a flush transition. This work shall be done over the winter break. Per Exhibit "B" Contractor to include in their base bid the cost to remove 217 Square feet of existing asphalt and concrete, prep subgrade install new 4" asphalt (84 Sq Ft.) and new 4" concrete ( 133 Sq Ft) over compact native soil. Match adjacent surface to render a flush transition . This work shall be done over the winter break.
