Repair of existing siding at Ben Milam Elementary. 2.2 Removal/Preparation - Remove existing cultured stone (split face CMU) at northeast building addition at Ben Milam School - South side between buildings, Southwest side, and South side of connection breezeway only (all other cultured stone to remain). - remove stone, metal lath, and mud base at cultured stone removal areas only. Existing roof flashings/edging to remain (as possible). Remove damaged/rotten exterior plywood sheathing only (at cultured stone removal areas only). All other sub-structure to remain (as possible). -All electrical removal by Owner/Others (as necessary). All Owner's effects to be removed and reset by Owner (as necessary). - Legally dispose of all removed materials in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. 2.3 Installation - Furnish and install new 7/16" OSB plywood sheathing at damaged/rotten removal areas only. Furnish and install Tyvek house wrap at cultured stone removal areas only. Furnish and install EIFS stucco/siding (Exterior Insulation and Finish System) at all cultured stone removal areas only. Includes EPS insulation board (thickness TBD) with exterior finish system (colors selected by Owner). Include all necessary flashings, trims, etc. 2.4 Site Protection and Safety - Maintain a secure work area. - All Contractor and subcontractor personnel accessing school grounds must comply with District background check requirements under Texas Education Code Chapter 22, Subchapter C, and must wear visible identification badges at all times. - Coordinate all material staging, dumpster placement, and crane/lift operations with the District's Facilities Department to avoid conflicts with school traffic, parking, and pedestrian pathways. - No work shall occur during school hours involving excessive noise, odor, or safety hazards without prior approval from the District. 2.5 Warranty and Closeout - Submit closeout documents including as-built drawings, warranty documentation, manufacturer inspection/certification letter, operation and maintenance manuals, and final lien waivers. Perform a final walkthrough with District representative and manufacturer's technical representative prior to final acceptance.
