New Viaduct Construction Project scope involves constructing a new cable-stayed bridge immediately to the south of the existing viaduct and then demolishing the existing viaduct in its entirety when it is no longer needed for vehicular traffic. The new bridge will include an integrated pedestrian and bicycle path, meet all current safety and design standards, and create a connection to Interstate 75. The long-span design concept will facilitate construction over the CSX Railroad Yard with minimal disruption to their operations, and the location will minimize disruption to existing vehicular traffic during construction. Services Requested: Assist the City in the delivery of the Western Hills Viaduct – New Viaduct Construction Project by providing Construction Administration, Construction Oversight, Inspection, Material Sampling, Testing, and Quality Control services. Prequalification Requirements for This Agreement Are Listed Below. For All Prequalification Categories Other Than Financial Management System Evaluation the Requirement May Be Met by the Prime Consultant or a Subconsultant.
