Provide galvanized steel substation structures, lattice towers, and related structural steel components for delivery to multiple Western Area Power Administration sites. Requirements include engineering and drafting services for design and shop drawings; fabrication of structural steel components and structures; welding, inspection, galvanizing, quality assurance, and quality control. The contractor shall have the capability to cut, bend, fit, and weld steel plates, shapes, tubes, and bars, and operate heavy-duty fabrication equipment including press brakes, drilling machinery, plasma cutting tables, and seam welding equipment. The contractor shall also be capable of galvanizing large components approximately 5 ft x 5 ft x 35 ft. Deliveries may range from individual lattice tower pieces and substation equipment supports to platforms, complex substation structures, and complete microwave towers. Steel structures shall be delivered to surface storage areas adjacent to all-weather roads across the Western Area Power Administration service territory. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
