Site work and environmental remediation for a mixed-use development in Wittensville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for environmental remediation for a development; and municipal facility.
At the upstream area of the project, two portals producing drainage are compromising stability within a pasture area. These two portals will be opened, drained, closed with nonwildlife accessible closures and capped with excavated material with drainage features installed to conduct mine water to the adjacent natural drain. Excess material will be transported to the on-site waste area. A Class III ditch and culvert will be installed in the natural drain to protect the drainage features and conduct the collected drainage ultimately to the natural stream. Question Deadline 10/23/2026 All questions regarding the meaning or interpretation of the bidding documents shall be directed in writing to the purchasing officer. Unless otherwise specified in the Solicitation, questions received less than ten (10) calendar days prior to the date for receipt of bids may not be answered. Mine reclamation project involving portal closures, mine drainage management, and site stability improvements. Scope includes opening, draining, and closing mine portals with non-wildlife accessible closures, capping with excavated material, installing drainage features, constructing Class III ditches and culverts, excavating slides, installing subdrains and concrete block-tied mat ditches, and replacing a road culvert with headwalls.
