The scope of work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary to install approximately 1,500 residential water meters and AMI modules provided by the Owner, ranging in size from 5/8-inch to 1-inch within buildings, pits, and/or vaults. All meters shall be read and billed monthly. The Contractor shall maintain and comply with a cycle-specific blackout schedule of up to seven (7) days per cycle per month, during which no meter installations shall be scheduled or performed to avoid interference with billing activities. Additionally, through a bid alternate, the scope of work may include 66 residential and commercial water meters and AMI modules ranging in size from 1-1/2-inch to 6-inch within buildings, pits, and/or vaults. Installation shall include removal of the existing meters and radio modules, installation of new Diehl Ultrasonic Water Meters and Itron 500W Communication Modules, confirmation of a valid meter reading, and furnishing all incidentals required to complete installations. All Diehl Ultrasonic Meters are pre-wired and pre-installed with a quick coupler. Stock of all Diehl Ultrasonic Water Meters and Itron 500W Communication Modules are currently stored in the Town of Holden, Massachusetts.
