This Division pertains to the construction of Phase 3 of the 69kV Transmission Line for Logansport Utilities (LU) headquartered in Logansport, Indiana. The intent of these Specifications is to detail the Contractor's function, coordination of procedures, environmental protection measures, material requirements, assembly and erection of facilities, Owner's acceptance criteria, and any other factors considered pertinent to the cost-effective construction of the electrical facilities in accordance with RUS and the Owner's standards. Question Deadline 12/08/2026 The Bidder is responsible for advising the Owner/Engineer of any conflicting requirements or Bid Document omissions, no less than seven (7) days before the proposal submittal date. Logansport Utilities ( LU) , of Logansport, Indiana intends to re-construct Phase 3 of their 69kV Transmission Line. The project is 1 mile in length and will re-utilize existing 556.6 kcm 26/7 ACSR "Dove" conductor, 3/8" EHS OHSW, 465.4kcm 19/0 AAAC "Cairo" three-phase underbuild , and a 246.9k cm 7/0 AAAC "Alliance" neutral. Twenty-seven (27) existing structures ranging from Structure 171 to Structure 197 will be replaced with direct-embedded steel poles as a part of this project All wire tensions in the back-span of Structure 171 and ahead-span of Structure 197 shall be maintained at all times. Tangent structures will utilize TP-69 framing, running angles will utilize TS-4A or TS-4AA framing, stringing deadends will utilize TS-5S framing, and fully-terminal deadends will utilize TS-5A or TS-5AA framing. Insulators will be polymer post, with polymer suspension insulators used at running angles and deadends. Most materials will be Owner-Furnished as specifically shown in the Contract Materials to be contractor furnished are noted in drawing notes and in the contractor furnished material section below. The scope of work includes the transfer of existing 69kV and 13.8kV primary conductors, along with transformers, services and other related items. Replacing wooden transmission poles with new steel poles, replacing wood distribution poles, and transferring existing 69kV conductors, 13.2kV underbuild conductors, and associated distribution facilities.
