The Work is generally described as follows: Placement of Thermoplastic Pavement Markings on Various Streets in the City of Marion Pavement Marking Placement & Widths Center Lines: o State highway system: 46 in . wide, yellow, offset 43 in . from geometric centerline. All other roads: 4 in. wide, yellow, offset 3 in . from centerline. Multi-lane: double solid line (86 in . apart on state highways, 6 in. apart elsewhere). Two-lane with passing allowed in both directions: broken line. Two-lane with passing allowed in one direction: double line (broken + solid, 86 in. apart on state highways, 6 in . apart elsewhere) Lane Lines: State highway system: 56 in. wide, white. All other roads: 4 in . wide, white. Wide lane lines (lane drops, route splits, auxiliary lanes): 810 in. wide on state highways, 8 in. wide elsewhere
