The Airports Authority is seeking to replace upper and lower sections of the Hangar 2 roof system and roof drain pipes, and Hangar 3 roof replacement in full at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). Questions deadline: 10/16/26 at 3:00 PM Any prospective offeror desiring an explanation or interpretation of the Solicitation must submit its questions via the CLMS The Work consists of the furnishing of a completely new and functional roofing system for Hangars 2 and 3. Hangar 2 consists of approximately 45,000 SF of roofing and Hangar 3 consists of approximately 63,000 SF of roofing. Both Hangars are characterized by a low roof over a long narrow office block and a high roof over the hangar bays. Primary work elements of the project include but are not limited to: 1. Demolition of roofing systems, parapet coping, expansion joints and associated trims. 2. Selective demolition of abandoned rooftop HVAC, plumbing and low-voltage systems. 3. Selective demolition of primary roof drains and associated piping. 4. Building enclosure including single-ply membrane roofing, replacement of the insulation, metal copings and related expansion joints and metal wall flashings. 5. Fabrication and installation of steel reinforcement to the hangar roof superstructure. 6. Patching of metal roof deck and concrete roof deck. 7. Lightning protection system. 8. Building interior gypsum board wall enclosures (Coordinate requirement with COTR). 9. Plumbing systems including primary and overflow roof drains. 10. Fall Arrest / Fall Protection System consisting of post- and wall-mounted brackets, cables and associated accessories (Bid Alternate #1). 11. Construction will require temporary scaffolding & material hoist(s), site control/containment and worker safety equipment. 12. Workers will only be allowed very limited use of the existing stairways and airside access for personnel and deliveries is anticipated. 13.
