Renovation of a multi-residential development in Akron, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
Exterior restoration work on the Saferstein 1 apartment building. Scope is to restore the exterior surfaces of the building damaged by years of exposure to tenant use and weather. Primarily this shall involve repainting the exterior stucco surfaces of the entire building and remediating the existing concrete balcony walkways where signs of spalling and de terioration of concrete have been determined to exist by the structural engineer. The existing exterior balcony shall be repaired and recoated with a new high-traffic coating. The scope shall also include: tuckpointing of existing failing mortar joints at the ground floor level face brick; re placement of perimeter sealant at the existing window openings; replacement of perimeter seal ant at the existing through-wall AC units at tenant apartments; replacement of exterior sealant at other locations where determined to be necessary; stucco repair as shown on the drawings. The Work consists of all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, transportation, verification of existing conditions, cutting and patching, removals, etc., as required to complete repairs and replacement to/and of the above mentioned project, and other work as indicated on the Drawings and in these Specifications.
