The scope of work includes furnishing all materials, equipment, tools and labor and executing all work necessary for the removal and proper disposal of 19 trees within the City right-of-way and 2 trees on private property. Trees are to be cut as close to the ground as possible and all portions of the tree hauled away. If any logs are left overnight, they are to be kept off any sidewalks. The entire area shall be left "broom clean." Please provide a unit price per tree as well as a total price for all 21 trees. Provide a timeline for removals should your company be chosen. Not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages shall be paid to all workmen performing under this contract in this area according to the rates determined by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri. A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The City of Maryland Heights reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in the best interest of the City, to negotiate with any or all bidders or others for more favorable terms or prices, and to award a contract to other than the bidder submitting the lowest cost bid proposal, with or without negotiation. The City reserves the right not to open a sole bid and bidder is solely responsible for all costs associated with its bid. A Bid may not be modified, withdrawn or cancelled by the bidder within sixty (60) days following the time and date designated for the receipt of bids. Each bidder so agrees to the above by submitting his bid.
