Repairs to the showers located at the Fire Station Headquarters. Scope of Work: Work to be performed under the awarded contract must be substantially complete within 30 calendar days, excluding holidays and weekends, of full execution of the contract. The work shall include all labor, materials, equipment, disposal, permits, and incidentals necessary to complete repairs to the existing shower area, including the following, to be replaced in-kind to original design and footprint (plans of the area to be repaired are included herein): 1. Demolish and remove the existing wall tile, floor tile, shower pans, and associated materials within the shower area. 2. Remove existing metal stud framing as necessary to access plumbing and complete repairs. Inspect existing plumbing piping, valves, drains, and fixtures within the work area. Repair or replace piping and fixtures as necessary to provide a complete, leak-free installation. Test remaining existing piping within the work area for leaks or deterioration and repair or replace components as necessary. Repair or replace metal stud framing as required to provide a suitable substrate for the new shower installation. Install 3 new shower pans and waterproofing system suitable for commercial shower use. Install new cementitious or approved waterproof backer board on shower walls. Install new wall and floor tile throughout the shower area, including all required setting materials and accessories. Grout, seal, and caulk all tile surfaces, joints, corners, penetrations, and transitions to provide a watertight finished installation. Repair or replace the ceiling within the shower area as necessary due to demolition, construction activities, or existing deterioration. Reinstall or replace shower plumbing fixtures and trim as required and verify proper operation.
