Removal of existing roof and installation of a new PVC roofing membrane. The Work of Project is identified by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. New tectum decking to match the existing roof decking, including type, thickness, fire retardant treated wood , etc. All joints to occur over existing structure below. Any potential areas needing replacement shall be photographed and sent to the owner and architect for approval , prior to proceeding with work. General Contractor to include the replacement of 1,000 square feet in the base bid. Unit pricing to be used to add or deduct from the base bid, depending on the actual amount of decking replaced. Unit Price #2: General Contractor to provide a unit price, per board foot to remove and replace any damaged or deteriorated wood blocking. New wood blocking to match the existing wood blocking, including type, thickness, fire retardant treated wood, etc. All blocking to be properly secured to provide structural support where necessary. Any potential areas needing replacement shall be photographed and sent to the owner and architect for approval , prior to proceeding with work. General Contractor to include the replacement of 500 board feet in the base bid. Unit pricing to be used to add or deduct from the base bid, depending on the actual amount of blocking replaced. Unit Price #3: General Contractor to provide a unit price, per square foot to remove and replace any damaged or deteriorated 1/2" plywood sheathing at the perimeter fascia. New plywood sheathing to match the existing sheathing, including type, thickness, fire retardant treated wood , etc. All joints to occur over existing structure beyond.
